For over 10 years now, R2 has been committed to the electrolysis industry and we have dedicated our R&D team to the improvement of management, optimization, and safety in this field.

The development of EMOS was specifically targeted to integrate seamlessly with electrolyzer technology. The hardware is designed to resist and operate in a demanding environment. The software manages thousands of cells in a plant and provides unique features to follow individual element performances such as: temperature evaluation, current efficiency, electrode coating evaluation, pinhole detection, etc.

EMOS has been adopted as the main safety system for several electrolysis technologies:

• Bipolar Membrane Chlor-Alkali Electrolysis
• HCL Gas Diffusion Electrode Electrolysis
• Chlorate Electrolysis

Through the years, in the chlor-alkali industry, EMOS has been installed on several different generations of electrolyzer technology from the four predominant manufacturers. EMOS currently monitors more than 30,000 elements from 36 plants in 17 countries around the globe.
